Family multi-activity stay in the Vercors

Description

In a friendly lodge with a western atmosphere and located at an altitude of 1000 meters near the village of Vassieux-en-Vercors, young and old will enjoy a cocktail of fun activities during this stay. Indeed, snowshoeing, dog sledding, cross-country skiing, igloo building, and even a night in a mountain hut are on the program!

It is at the foot of the Grand Veymont, the highest peak of the massif, that you will enjoy the winter with your family in the exceptional environment of the Vercors highlands.

Program

D1: Vassieux-en-Vercors (1100m).
Meet at the Pow Grayon Ranch in Vassieux-en-Vercors at 5pm or later.

D2: Snowshoeing on ridges.
We go for a snowshoeing day punctuated with games and slides that will entertain the kids.
Walking time: about 4 hours, depending on the age of the children and the level of the group.

D3: Prehistory museum and "little trappers" day.
Visit of the museum which is located on the site of a flint knapping workshop abandoned 4500 years ago by artisan-tailors. The tour ends with a flint knapping demonstration.
You will then learn to build an igloo and to recognize the tracks of animals in the snow (chamois, ibex, hares, etc.).

D4: Sled dogs and cross-country skiing.
In the morning: dog sledding, activity supervised by mushers.
Duration: 2 hours.
In the afternoon: cross-country skiing on the plateau of Vassieux-en-Vercors or on the biathlon stadium depending on the snow conditions.
Duration: 2 hours, with a ski instructor.

D5: Let's go for an adventure in a hut (1365m).
Here we go for the expedition on the high plateaux, snowshoeing. It is with the purring of the stove of the forest house that you will fall asleep serenely.
Night in unguarded hut.
Walking time: from 3 to 4 hours depending on the snow conditions.

D6: Hike on the high plateaux conservation area.
Snowshoeing on the high plateaux of the Vercors, at the foot of the Grand Veymont.
Walking time: from 3 to 5 hours.
Split at the cottage around 4pm.

• Accommodation during the stay (4 nights in lodge + 1 night in a refuge).
