Description

I'm offering you the chance to spend two exceptional days bivouacking and ski-touring across the Bauges massif, from south to north, from Savoie to Haute-Savoie.

This trip will be the opportunity to stay immersed in nature and in the mountains, and to ski the most beautiful slopes of the Hautes Bauges: the Arclusaz, the Arlicots, the Armène, the Mont de la Coche, the Pointe de Chaurionde. There will be beautiful and extensive itineraries on the programme, in sectors still preserved from the crowds.

The departure is from Annecy, by collective car. The return is to the Sambuy resort, then to Annecy by public transport or private taxi.

If you'd like to continue your discovery of this beautiful, little-known massif, I also offer other two-day discoveries: a weekend with an overnight stay in the forest in the heart of the Bauges massif, and a ski tour of the Arcalod. Conditions permitting, you can also opt for a day of powder ski touring, still in the Bauges.

Program

D1: From Arclusaz to Allant.
Meet in Annecy at 7am before about 1 hour drive to the former ski resort of La Sambuy.
Then departure of the ski touring raid, with a route adapted to the group and the conditions of the mountain. The basic program for the day is to link the east face of the Combe aux Chevaux with the forest below the Petit Molard ridge. After this final descent, a final climb takes you to the bivouac site in the heart of the forest. This is a magical place to rest and enjoy the beauty of the Bauges massif together. Depending on the level of the group, we can also do other routes: crossing the Arclusaz and the north face of the Beau Molard, the latter's Petite Faille, or the Combe au Chevaux, the Arlicots and the Lanche. In short, there are plenty of combinations to suit you!

D2: Tré le Molard and Pointe de Chaurionde.
Departure for Tré le Molard, a rarely skied summit. From here, we descend to the Col d'Orgeval, then climb to the summit of the Pointe de la Chaurionde, before descending its north-east couloir towards the chalets de l'Aulp de Seythenex. Finally, a forest track takes us to the foot of the Sambuy resort.
Return to Annecy in the afternoon.
