Description

During the winter period, I propose snowshoeing trips with the aim of studying the snow cover.

During these outings, we will evolve on snow, that is to say... solid water! The rapid changes of its composition make it a material whose stability is difficult to predict.

We will try, with tools and a simple method of observation, to discover some keys for a useful help in making decisions in situation. This will help you in all your snow practices and you will not look at the mountain like before.

During this snowshoe outing in the Vercors massif near Villard-de-Lans, the avalanche beacon, shovel and probe will be not be provided.

An observation of the signs of presence of the fauna will also be in the program.

Throughout the winter I also propose thematic outings such as

  • 9.15am: Evolution on the course, choice and explanation of the route, etc.
  • Survey, data analysis, reflections.
  • 11.30am: Walk back to the starting point.
  • 12pm: End of the outing.

The price includes

  • Supervision by the mountain leader.
  • Loan of equipment: snowshoes, observation equipment.

The price does not include

  • Transport to the meeting point near Villard-de-Lans, 45 minutes drive from Grenoble and one hour and fifteem minutes from Valence.
