Deer bellowing weekend in the Vercors
Duration : 2 days
France, Northern Alps
Level : easy
from 195 € / p. from 3 to 5 persons
Infos & BookingDescription
I propose a weekend around Villard-de-Lans in the Vercors massif, far from the usual tourist circuits, to enjoy the magnificent spectacle of stags in bellowing season.
After a one-hour walk, we will station ourselves in the center of the forest to watch the deers bellowing. Verbal jousting, intimidation, anything is good to appropriate the harem of the hinds... We will bivouac on site to immerse ourselves in the incredible atmosphere and make sure we don't miss any of the action.
We will be carrying a moderate amount of baggage: just bring your raid backpack, your personal belongings and your meals.
If you are interested in observing animals, I also propose a hike with wildlife observation around Villard-de-Lans, and, during winter, night snowshoe hikes in the Vercors on the track of the wolf.
But you can also follow me on other themed outings, such as this heritage hike in Villard-de-Lans, this outing devoted to the flora of the Vercors massif, these 2 days discovering the edible plants of the Vercors or this mushroom day around Villard-de-Lans.
