If you like mushrooms in trays, triangular sandwiches and red wine in cubes at 12€, this stay is not for you ;-) Here we live to eat and not the other way around, we don't eat sandwiches but snacks and above all we drink good bottles unearthed here and there over the decades.

So it's a little more than a classic mushroom picking weekend that I propose here, since it's over 3 days that this stay is articulated, going from gustative discoveries to grandiose panoramas. It is the time necessary to savor all the richness of this exceptional land that is the Vercors massif.

Always in small groups not to lose quality, you will enjoy tastings of local wines and beers, but not only. You will also do a gentle hike on Friday, after passing through the village of Villard-de-Lans to capture its mountain atmosphere, before a dinner in a local restaurant and a restful night (or a visit to the casino for the players). A picnic with the discovery of local products awaits you on Saturday, before a nap under a lime tree, the end of the picking, a quiet time, then a dinner in one of the best restaurants of the village. On Sunday, you'll do it again, changing location to discover another facet of the country. The dispersion is done in the evening after a return to the lodge and a distribution of the three days of picking.

D1: Hiking and discovery.
Meeting point at 10am on the village square of Villard-de-Lans.
Discovery of the site's heritage, history, traditions, etc.
Picnic and hike with panoramic view to better understand the Vercors massif.
3 hours of walking and 400 meters of positive difference in altitude.
Dinner in the village.

D2: Hiking and mushroom picking.
Departure at 9am. for a first mushroom picking: we walk, we look, we learn...
Picnic, nap (quite an art) and we leave for a picking with change of spot if necessary according to the generosity of the nature.
Return to the lodging around 4pm.
Dinner in the village in a gastronomic restaurant.

D3: Market and mushroom picking.
Sunday is market day, and there is nothing better to know a region than to go to the market and talk with the locals. A glass of white wine on the village square will help us to get in shape.
We then have a picnic in the highlands before a little walk in the woods in the afternoon, so as not to have forgotten a trumpet of death or a chanterelle.
Back to the lodge at 4pm for the sorting and the sharing of the booty.
End of the stay around 6pm.

  • Meals (breakfasts, picnics, dinners in restaurants with aperitif and wines included).

The price does not include

  • Transport to and from Villard-de-Lans, 45 minutes drive from Grenoble and one hour and fifteen minutes from Valence.
  • Shuttles during the weekend.
  • Drinks other than those included in the program.
  • Anything not mentioned in "The price includes".
