Queyras tour by electric mountain bike (Hautes-Alpes)

Description

The tour of the Queyras massif by electric mountain bike is one of the musts of our region.

Most often done by hiking, it is now accessible through electric mountain bike, if having a minimum of technical background to fully enjoy the adventure.

I thought about the best route, in terms of quality of trails and landscapes in order to have no portage, or areas too brittle on the bike. The result is a complete Queyras tour, including a large number of variations depending on the level of the group, with always one goal: to show you the best areas of our playground!

During your week, you will take some of the most beautiful singles of the massif, cross spectacular mountain landscapes, discover the old villages of Queyras and the atmosphere of larch forests... in one word the unmissable of Queyras!

Program

Day 1: Ceillac - Saint-Véran.
We take the shuttle to Ceillac and the mountains. The first easy climb is an opportunity to get to know each other and your bike. We pass two passes offering superb panoramic views over the whole of the Queyras before descending to the magnificent village of Saint-Véran.
Night in a comfortable lodge.

Day 2: Saint-Véran - Abriès.
Today we are familiar with the 3,000 meters of altitude: after a climb in the Cirque de la Blanche which requires a little precision, we take the famous descent of the lakes which offers 12 kilometers of wild descent in a high mountain environment.
Night in a comfortable lodge in the Haut-Guil valley.

Day 3: Abriès - Chateau Queyras.
We take advantage of the ski lifts to regain altitude. Followed by a climb on a single track, a descent on a technical path then quickly rolling through the larch trees. We head back uphill before discovering some secret spots around Chateau Queyras.
Night in a comfortable lodge in the Haut-Guil valley.

Day 4: Towards Arvieux.
A beautiful morning climb allows us to join a magnificent balcony path offering beautiful panoramas of the Southern Alps. The descent on a rolling single track is pure pleasure before a final climb then descent bringing us to Arvieux.

Day 5: Arvieux - Mont-Dauphin.
Last day of your raid and you finish in style! A climb takes us to beautiful mountain pastures which we cross before lunch taken in a refuge. The descent that follows is wild and legendary to bring us back to our base camp. Arrival at Mont-Dauphin scheduled for late afternoon around 4.30pm.
