Discovery of Queyras by electric MTB (Hautes-Alpes)

Description

I offer an ideal stay for those who wish to gently discover the Queyras valleys on the handlebars of an electric mountain bike.

On the program, 4 days of easy electric mountain bike rides on the most beautiful routes in Queyras in the company of a local guide who will explain the landscape, the history of our mountains and some anecdotes that have marked history.

You progress on easy and wide slopes, fun trails, braving moderate elevation changes and gentle descents. We will also have time to contemplate, to take a nap, to progress too... and to enjoy a beautiful immersion in nature.

Accessible to everyone both physically and technically, this stay is the promise of an active cycling holiday in an authentic mountain corner!

Program

Day 1: The grand tour of the Aigues valley.
We start our journey by discovering the typical villages of Pierre Grosse, Molines-en-Queyras and Saint-Véran. We then head towards the Blanche valley to admire its glacial lakes nestled at the foot of the Tête des Toillies and taste (if you wish) a succulent blueberry tart facing the sun before heading back down to the village.
Night in a comfortable lodge.

Day 2: Souliers and Lac de Roue.
Today we gain height to dominate the imposing Château Queyras and access the hidden valley of Souliers. Together we travel through the famous larch forests and old irrigation canals, to access and admire Roue lake which changes color each season.
We enjoy a meal on the sunny terrace of the Grand Rochebrune lodge (meals included).
Night in a comfortable lodge.

Day 3: Getaway to the Ceillac valley.
Just like those of Molines and Saint-Véran, the two valleys of the village of Ceillac are unmissable and are often considered the best place for an electric mountain bike ride. We hike facing the Font Sancte massif (highest French peak in Queyras), and we cross tumultuous torrents and narrow gorges, clearings ideal for a nap, small isolated hamlets in the mountain pastures, and take advantage of the evening light which calls for relaxation and an ice cream at the end of the day...

Day 4: The border trails of Upper Guil.
To end in style, we leave together from the village of Abries towards the mythical Monte Viso, 3,844 meters high and located just on the other side of the Italian border.
We enjoy a picnic in the Haut Guil valley then, if we still have time and energy, we can go riding and visit the hamlets of the wild Valpréveyre valley.
