Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet via ferrata: La Pichona

I invite you to come and try via ferrata with this discovery course, also called "La Pichona" (literally, the little one in local language), which is an easy level route.

This via ferrata is located in the village of Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet in the Eastern Pyrenees, and it is perfect for a first approach to the activity or an outing with the whole family.

All along this initiation course and at its top, you will discover an exceptional landscape, from the Agly valley to the Mediterranean sea, without forgetting the famous Canigou and the Pyrenees mountains.

The via ferrata "La Pichona" will surely give you emotions, even if it is feasible for people who have a little apprehension with vertiginous situations. It has very few vertical passages, most of the via ferrata being on a rocky ridge, and a very funny monkey bridge.

Perhaps this introduction will inspire your teenagers to take a climbing and via ferrata course around Perpignan, or you and your whole family to discover rock climbing in the Eastern Pyrenees.

Program

• Meeting point at the "Clue de la Fou" in Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, 45 minutes drive from Perpignan.
• Approach walk of 10 minutes to reach the start of the via ferrata.
• Discovery and use of the equipment.
• Learning of the safety techniques.
• Approximately one and a half hour of climbing to the top of the via ferrata: beautiful landscapes, nice sensations, you rise gradually until the top, you just have to let you guide and enjoy!
• A short 15 minutes walk back to the parking lot.
• "After the effort, the comfort": to finish your day in beauty, I can suggest you many things to see and do around the via ferrata of Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet!
