Description

As an AINEVA - ANENA trainer (Italian and French National Associations for the Study of Snow and Avalanches), I propose this training "Following ski touring track" in the Aosta valley in Italy.

"Following ski touring track" are two days of training to understand the choices made during a ski touring or an off-piste skiing outing. This will allow you to better follow and apprehend the instructions of the most experts and also to acquire yourself the ability to decide when and how to go skiing.

I also offer throughout the winter the AINEVA/ANENA training course "Making ski touring track" still in the Aosta valley, for those who wish to evolve towards autonomy.

You can also follow me during different stays for beginners or initiates to discover ski touring in the Aosta valley, at the foot of the Mont Blanc or in Aosta valley and Valais.

Program

D1: Theory session and ski touring outing.
Meet at 7.30am at the departure of the ski lifts in the resort of La Thuile (Aosta valley - Italy).
Checking of the personal equipment of each trainee and beginning of the course with a theoretical session on snow and avalanches (expected duration: 1 hour and a half).
The day continues with a ski touring outing around the top of the ski lifts. On this route we will apply the theorical principles discussed in the morning.
Return to La Thuile in the afternoon, then preparation of the next day's outing.

D2: Ski touring day.
Meet at 8am for the outing planned the day before. This one have been chosen together, according to the objectives of the course which will be dealt all along the day.
Return around 3.30 pm / 4pm, then debriefing of the course.

Transport to and from La Thuile in the Aosta valley, about 20 minutes drive from Courmayeur and 50 minutes from Aosta.
