Infos & BookingDescription
During this ski touring day, I invite you to discover the beautiful Beauregard Plateau, located in the Haute-Savoie department, in the heart of the Aravis mountains.
Overlooking the famous ski resort of La Clusaz, this beautiful place is particularly well known and appreciated by snowshoeing enthusiasts, but it also has some nice and little knowed ski touring lines. With forest passages, some open spaces for descents and superb sunshine, it is an unsuspected destination that offers you the pleasure of peace and quiet. Of course you will enjoy amazing views of the Aravis and Mont-Blanc massifs mountains such as La Tournette, Mont Charvin, Pointe Percée, but also Mont Blanc itself, Aiguille de Bionnassay, Dôme du Gouter, Dôme de Miage, etc.
As most of the slopes are below thirty degrees steep, it is almost always possible to practice ski touring in complete serenity and enjoy freshly fallen powder snow quite all the time, even when the avalanche risk is high.
During this ski tour, we will cover a positive altitude difference of 800 meters, the descent will not be technically difficult, and the walking time will be around 5 hours.
If you would like to discover other places in the region, you can follow me throughout the winter for great ski touring outings in the massifs around Annecy, on the summits of the Aravis, on the slopes of the nearby Sulens mountain or on Mont Charvin.
I also offer half-day ski touring gentle lessons for beginners in Haute-Savoie, as well as a different approach to ski touring to help you progress more easily.
