Description

I'd like to invite you to discover the ski touring "spot" that is the Sulens mountain in the Aravis massif in Haute-Savoie.

Known for its almost permanent practicability in winter (with many slopes below 30 degrees of inclination), it offers some very interesting combinations of climbs / descents to spend a great day of ski touring, away from the crowds roaming the other valleys a little more far. Even when there's a high avalanche risk, you can still ski-tour in peace and quiet, and enjoy the freshly fallen powder.

This outing is for sure the opportunity to discover a beautiful and original tour with a mountain guide specialist of the sector.

If you'd like to discover other places of the region, you can follow me all winter long for great ski touring outings on the summits of the Aravis, to discover the nearby Beauregard plateau, in the mountains around Annecy or on the majestic Mont Charvin.

Program

Meet at 9.30am at the starting point of the ski touring hike, about 45 minutes drive from Annecy.
Ski touring with an altitude positive difference around 1000 meters and moderately difficult descents.
Picnic break to enjoy the ambience and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Return to the parking lot in the early afternoon at around 3pm.
Short transfer by vehicle.
Tea time snack at Lo Garajo bar in Manigod village.
End of the day and departure around 5pm.

The price includes

Ski touring supervision by the mountain guide.
Loan of safety equipment: avalanche beacon, probe and shovel.
Snack at Lo garâjo.

The price does not include

Transport to and from the meeting point.
Ski touring personal equipment: skis, skins, hiking poles, helmet, etc.
Your picnic.
Drinks.
Vehicule transfer to the bar.
Individual insurance for this kind of activity.
