This trail training course taking place in Ariège in the Pyrenees mountains will allow you to adapt your stride on snowy and icy grounds, while saving your strength. It is ideal for those who are preparing a race at the beginning of the season that includes snowy sections (for example the Vignemale's trail).
This trail training course, which takes place in the Ariège region of the Pyrenees, will enable you to adapt your stride to snowy and icy terrain, while conserving your energy. It's ideal for those preparing an early-season race with snowy sections (such as the Trail du Vignemale). It is especially perfect for continuing trail training during the winter months.

Program
D1 (morning): Level assessment and trail run.
The first part of the morning allows me to assess and readjust everyone's levels if necessary.
The trail circuit will be adapted to the participants' levels on snow-covered tracks.
A series of ascents and descents on snow.
- Meet at the Plateau de Beille near Ax-les-Thermes.
- A series of ascents and descents on spring snow.
- Between 800 and 1200 meters of elevation gain for a distance of between 8 and 15 km, depending on the level.
- Work on coordination and footing on snow.
- Work on developing skills on different types of snow, use of chains.
- Managing effort in winter conditions.
- Effective use of poles.
D1 (afternoon): Technique and training.
- Improving stability on descents.
- Learning the correct reaction to adopt in the event of a fall.
- Educational lessons (winter mountain safety).
- Analysis of objectives and development of individual training plans.
D2: Mountain trail running.
The second day consists of a more mountainous route using a dynamic approach with trail snowshoes. The aim is to increase the total elevation gain of the course.
- Coordination and support work on snowshoes.
- Development work on different types of snow.
- Managing effort in winter conditions.
- Effective use of poles.
- Between 900 and 1300 meters of elevation gain over a distance of between 10 and 18 km (level groups).
- Analysis of objectives and development of individual training plans. Nutritional assessment on request.
