Hiking and autumn photography in the Grand Paradiso

Description

I propose you a training to the photography of the nature through a one week course in the massif of the Grand Paradis in Italy. In autumn, the larch trees take on their fiery colors and nature gradually freezes to prepare for winter. This is a special opportunity to obtain high quality images of abundant and shy fauna in the middle of large wild spaces. We will go on daily hikes to immerse ourselves in nature and feel the special atmosphere of these landscapes.

This Gran Paradiso massif and its Italian National Park offer an exceptional playground for hiking in wide open and wild spaces and photographing an abundant and not-so-shy fauna.

In autumn, you will enjoy the magic of the larch trees that take on their fire colours, at this moment when the wildlife leaves the highest altitudes to come down into the valleys. This time of the year is a very special opportunity to obtain high quality images.

During this stay in Italy, you will learn how to technically master your camera, how to choose focal lengths adapted to the subject, how to manage the composition, the light, the placement... We will take the time to analyze the results daily and I will give you advice in your personalized artistic approach.

The hikes are of average level, with positive differences in altitude of 400 to 600 meters each day, for 5 to 6 hours of walking.

Program

D1: Arrival and installation in the accommodation in one of the villages of the Park.
Carpooling possible from France to Italy.

D2 to D6: Daily star-shaped hikes in the landscapes of the Gran Paradiso massif.
We will take the time to make photographic breaks and several animal photo sessions are planned (chamois, ibex, fox, bearded vulture... depending on the encounters).
In the late afternoon, we will have an exchange time in the classroom, and we will make daily analysis of the images obtained on return from the outings.

D7: End of the stay.
Departure after breakfast and trip back to France.

The price includes

• Supervision by the mountain leader, professional photographer and trainer for 20 years.
