Arlos discovery canyon (Haute-Garonne)

Description

Located in the Haute-Garonne department, not far from the Spanish border, the Arlos canyon is perfect for your children to discover canyoning activity but also for you, parents, and the whole family!

Indeed, from 5 years old, your children will be able to enjoy an exceptional moment in the water and to apprehend canyoning in full safety. In the heart of the Pyrenees mountains, the course takes place in a magnificent forest environment. After a succession of slides in natural toboggans, you will discover beautiful basins and then three waterfalls beautifully sculpted in the rock by the river over thousands of years.

More precisely, many toboggans (up to 4 meters long), a zip line, jumps (1.50 meter maximum), walking in the river and a small abseil (5 meters) are on the program of this fun and aquatic descent. But don't worry, nothing is mandatory! All the obstacles can be adapted according to the desires and the level of each person.

Program

Meeting point:

• The meeting point is at the canyon parking lot.
• After Saint-Beat, on the RN 135 towards Spain, pass the village of Arlos. Turn right onto a track at the level of the Arlos cemetery, then drive 100 meters and park in the large parking lot.
• It takes about 20 minutes to drive from Bagnères-de-Luchon and 40 minutes from Saint-Gaudens.

Schedule:

• Meet at 10am at the parking lot for the morning groups.
• Meet at 2pm at the parking lot for the afternoon groups.

Duration of the activity:

• After a 20-minute shaded approach walk we arrive at the start of the canyon.
• The descent takes between 1 hour and 1 and a half hour.
• At the end of the canyon there is a 5-minute walk back to the cars.

Things to bring:

• Swimming suit.
• Sneakers (no water shoes).
• A bottle of water.

The price includes

• Supervision by the canyoning instructor.
• The equipment necessary for the practice of the activity (neoprene suit, helmet, harness).

The price does not include

• Returnt transport to the meeting point in Arlos.
• Snacks.
• Drinks.
